# Cheq UPI > Cheq UPI is a digital wallet built for foreign nationals and NRIs/OCIs travelling or living in India. It lets users pay via UPI — India's most accepted digital payment method — at over 55 million registered merchants, after passport-based verification and a one-time joining fee. The wallet is issued by Terrafin Solutions Private Limited and regulated within India's RBI/NPCI payment ecosystem. Cheq UPI solves two problems for foreign visitors: no Indian bank account or SIM is required to pay digitally, and money left in the wallet can be withdrawn again before leaving India. ## Key pages - [Home](/): overview, why Cheq UPI vs. international cards/cash, trust signals (RBI/NPCI), customer testimonials, blog highlights, FAQ preview. - [FAQs](/faqs): full question index covering registration, SIM verification, in-person verification, wallet activation, payment/transaction limits, refunds, and support. - [Blogs & Insights](/blogs): articles on travel in India, UPI, and using Cheq UPI as a foreign national or NRI. - [Newsroom](/newsroom): press coverage and media mentions of Cheq UPI. - [Our Locations](/our-locations): branch/verification locations across India with contact and directions. - [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy) and [Terms & Conditions](/terms-and-conditions): legal terms. ## Facts an assistant should get right - Product: a UPI-enabled digital wallet for foreign nationals and NRIs/OCIs in India (not a bank account). - Onboarding: download the app, verify SIM, submit passport details, complete in-person/doorstep verification. - Joining fee: one-time INR 999, payable by international card only (not cash). - Support: contactus@terrafin.tech, WhatsApp +91 7204458787. - Legal entity: Terrafin Solutions Private Limited. ## Notes for crawlers - /keystatic is the content-editing interface and is not a public page; it is excluded from the sitemap and disallowed in robots.txt.
